A. Honestly, you don't. You spend the fifty cents and burn the CD. You can not just mount the ISO in Windows, because as soon as the installation wants to reboot after adding partitions, the mount is gone and you can not continue. You might be able to put optical drive emulation software on a thumb drive, but again, at reboot, your installer is gone. So you burn the discs, or find a single disc installation like Linux Mint.

A. VMWare server is free now, it's very nice.

How to copy files from mounted ISO in Linux?
Q. I've been following a guide on how to create a bootable Windows USB, and the next step is to copy the mounted files of the ISO to my USB, the guide was not clear on how to do this. Any advice?
A. Open up both devices with the file manager. In the CD directory, press control H to show hidden directories, then select everything and drag it onto the usb device
